The Warped Tour ended last week, which brings an end to my A Little Warped series. It was great while it lasted, but as they say, all good things must end. In today’s wind down post, I’m going to summarize how Warped Tour affected the followers of all of our Little Warped bands. A lot of the bands did really well. Including one increase of over 300%! Read on below the cut for the rest of the summary. Leave me ideas for the next series in the comments! Continue reading “Warped Wind Down”
I can’t believe it’s almost the end of Warped Tour! This has been such an amazing series to write. I am going to do a Warped Wind-Down next week. The following week I need to start a new series, so leave me some ideas in the comments!
This week’s featured bands are Valient Thorr and War On Women.
I’m also going to spend some time talking about this awesome group of people that War On Women brought along for the ride. They are called Safer Scenes.
Wednesday is my favorite day of the week! I love sharing my favorite local bands with you guys. Today’s featured band is Chin Up, Kid, from Indianapolis, Indiana. Continue reading “Chin Up, Kid”
On Thursday, my friends in Bathroom of the Future celebrated the birthday of their bassist, Sean, by performing a show with Complainer. and Damnsel. It was awesome. My ears were ringing for two days. Read on to learn about the bands and my favorite local venue.
It’s new music Sunday! Don’t forget to leave some recommendations in the comments.

That title was a really terrible reference to the young wizard book series by Diane Duane. I did warn you guys.
I only write on Mondays when I was at a live show the previous week. As most of you know, I was at Warped with my dad on Friday. Today, I’ll be writing about that experience.
Yesterday, when I wrote about the new bands I discovered, I stuck to the smaller ones. There were also a lot of larger ones, that I’m ashamed to admit I hadn’t heard before. I’ll be writing about those ones today. Those artists are New Years Day, Sammy Adams, and Attila. Continue reading “So, You Want To Take Your Dad To Warped Tour.”
For this week’s Sunday series, I’m doing a special Warped edition. I’m going to share four bands I discovered at Warped Tour. Spoiler alert: only one of them was actually playing when I discovered them. The four artists are: Stevie Frank, Pickwick Commons, Spar Afar, and Separations.
I’d like to preface this article, by saying that even though I’m vaguely related to one of the members of this band, he wouldn’t recognize me on the street, and I’m in no way trying to appear cooler than I am. Because, I’m not cool, at all. XOXO.
Today is the day of my local Warped show! I’m so excited. I’m taking my dad, which is going to be hilarious, but also great. Now, a few weeks ago, I told you my dad wanted to go to Warped with me to see Alestorm. That is not the only reason he wants to go. My second cousin is playing, and he has never watched his band play. I told you guys I would write about his band today, even though they are way over my follower limit for this series. Beware, this will be the most anecdotal post to date.
Without further ado, let’s talk about I Prevail. Continue reading “I Prevail”
