Hello, friends! Did you miss me? I have had a whirlwind of a personal life lately. For example, my car is currently not starting. It’s also in Canada. What even is my life?
Sob stories aside, I missed blogging so much! I’m back now, with a slightly revamped writing schedule. My new Monday series is going to focus on songs that were recommended to me from the Spotify Daily Mix feature. It’s one of my favorite things ever, and it seldom misses the mark.
Onward! Today I’m writing from My Daily Mix #1. This mix is pop-punk, heavy on the pop, heavy on the feels, but still a little rock and roll.

It’s Wednesday! Which means time for a new band feature. Yay!
First: a story. I keep a planner with my articles planned out for the next several months. The only bands I write down after I’ve already posted, are the bands in my Sunday series, Bands I Discovered This Week. Now, imagine my surprise when I went to write down Alone I Walk, only to see that this week’s scheduled featured was another Canadian band. I guess, Canadians are alright.
Now, read on for this week’s featured band, Across The Wasteland.

OK, I know it’s Tuesday. I didn’t get to write this post earlier, because I had to work surprise!doubles two days in a row, when nobody showed up to replace me. Yayyyyyy!
Luckily, I did have time to discover some new music before my work life got hectic.
Last week’s new discoveries are Rival Island and Awaken I Am. Continue reading “New Music Sunday”
I’m very excited for the third edition of A Little Warped!
The featured artists are Fire From The Gods, and The Gospel Youth.
Bonus Fun Fact: Both of these bands are currently signed to Rise Records.

My Sunday series is going to feature bands that I just discovered this week. I’ve been writing this blog longer than I’ve been listening to these bands. I’m constantly looking for new bands, so leave some recommendations in the comments!
I primarily discover bands through Instagram. I use the hashtag #supportlocalmusic a lot, and small bands will like my pictures because of it. When a band, or a member of a band likes my picture or follows me, I will always at least check them out. I don’t always like it, but I will sit through at least one entire song. If they are on Spotify, I usually go for the most played.
I also find recommendations through people on this blog, and people in my everyday life. My co-workers know that my life revolves around music, and if they hear a new band they always pass it along to me.
This week’s featured bands are Romance & Rebellion, The Ballroom Thieves, and Chaplin.
